Locos Fans Gather to View William Hambrecht Trophy at NASCAR Cafe

LAS VEGAS, NV - Tuesday, December 14, 2010 - The Las Vegas Locos shared their 2010 United Football League championship with fans who gathered in the NASCAR Cafe at Sahara Casino on Monday for the unveiling of the William Hambrecht Trophy.

Head coach and general manager JIM FASSEL co-hosted an hour of live ESPN Radio time with host Brian Blessing during the event, while quarterback and 2010 Championship Game MVP CHASE CLEMENT also met fans andmade an appearance on the radio show.

The Locos faithful had their picture taken with the Championship Trophy and Clement's MVP Trophy as well as the players and coach Fassel. Locos supporters were excited about the opportunity to meet the players and coaches and view the trophy.

"For me this is the first time to be able to go to this kind of an event," said Locos fan EFREN SANTIAGO. "I love the Locos and it was a great opportunity to come here and meet them. I am here to support my hometown team."

Santiago said the team provides Las Vegans with a great opportunity to enjoy great football and top level entertainment at an affordable price.

"It's good for Vegas right now," he added. "The economy is not good right now, but seeing the team play and win helps forget all the problems. You can just enjoy the game with your family. Everybody is happy to see the Locos here in this city.

Model, actress, singer and reality TV personality TAYA PARKER made an appearance at the event. Best known for winning VH1's reality show Rock of Love, Parker hosts and stars in the burlesque show "Striptease The Show" at the Sahara Hotel and Casino. Exotic Dancer magazine selected Parker as their 2007/2008 Entertainer of the Year in Las Vegas Nevada. She was named Penthouse Pet of the Year for 2009.

The Locos gave away merchandise to fans who attended the event. Fassel and Clement stayed at the NASCAR Cafe to watch the Monday Night Football game with Locos supporters and other football fans as the coach's former New York Giants team took on the Minnesota Vikings.

During the event, two NASCAR Cafe customers tried to master the B-3 burrito challenge to finish a 6-pound burrito. The Challenge has been featured on the Travel Channel's Man vs. Food, where host Adam Richman travels across America, samples a variety of specialty foods and takes part in eating challenges. As the two candidates during the Locos Trophy unveiling event, Richman failed the challenge. Professional eater Joey Chestnut finished the B-3 burrito in a record-setting 6 minutes earlier this year.
